ExchangeMacus paused outside the door to gather his wits about him before he pushed in to confront his ex-superior. "Are you happy, Macus?" A voice called from the shadows of the room. "You have made me obsolete. What good am I now?" An elegant eyebrow arched and he turned to address the voice. "Raven, that's idiotic. If you hadn't set STAND in motion from the beginning, we would not have been able to get this far." He crossed the room with quick strides and collapsed into his chair. "And now you see fit to tear down STAND and rebuild in your own image." With equally smart steps, the dark haired man stormed to stand in front of the desk. His palms pounded down to lie flat on the desk leaning over Macus, eyes flashed with anger. The blond stood in a violent motion that sent the chair spinning away, his hands slamming down as well. Body language - a telling match to the other's on the opposite side. "I'm trying to salvage STAND! Times have changed, Raven, either we change with them or we are all 'obsolete'. Can't you see that?" Macus' voice softened, pleading with him to understand. "Arrogant." Raven hissed through his clenched teeth, his anger abating quickly as he pushed up from the desk. Macus sneered in retaliation and he straightened as well. "Deceiver." "Traitor." Mismatched eyes glared into crystal blue ones across the gulf between them. Raven moved around the desk to stand in front of him, their bodies close enough the heat could be felt rising from them both, seeping through their clothing. Macus stepped closer, his voice a mere whisper. "Martyr." A long silence flowed between them, hard breaths mingled with one another before their lips crushed together in a heated kiss.
